The first season of Ground Control Parenting with Carol Sutton Lewis is a wrap!  We’ve had twelve episodes of fascinating conversations about parenting black and brown children.  We’ve talked with dynamic parents and helpful experts about the joy and the job of parenting.  We’ve heard parenting life lessons about raising confident children, helping children pursue their passions, protecting our boys.  We’ve learned about giving children space to grow, raising resilient children, telling our children our stories, and raising a transgender child. We’ve heard stories and advice given by wise and thoughtful parents drawing upon their personal experiences and letting us learn from them.

In the Season One Rewind, which was released last week and you can hear here, I talk about the themes that have emerged over the course of the season:  Telling Our Children Our Stories, The Importance of Parental Pivoting, and Self-Care.  In this brief recap you’ll hear how these themes regularly appear across the episodes.  Important parenting lessons for us all!

And we are just getting started. Stay tuned for Season 2, featuring more captivating conversations with more great guests.  And send us your feedback, your comments, let us know what parenting issues you want to hear more about.  We really want to hear from you!!!
