Tonight, Elmo is hosting a virtual playdate, and everyone’s invited!! Elmo and his friends are all stuck at home during this pandemic, and his mommy and daddy have helped him set up a video play date with lots of his Sesame Street and celebrity friends including Tracee Ellis Ross and Lin Manuel Miranda. This half hour of fun premieres tonight at 7pm EDT on TV and computer devices. You can see it on PBS Kids, TNT, TBS, Cartoon Network, HBO, HBO Latino, Boomerang and TruTV.
If you are a die hard Sesame Street fan like yours truly, you’ll likely be parked in front of a screen tonight with (or even without) the kids. But if you need a break, know that for this half hour your children will be happily preoccupied.
It will not surprise you that Sesame Workshop has a boatload of great online resources, which you can find at sesamestreet.org. In addition, in response to this pandemic they’ve created the Caring For Each Other initiative on their site, where they regularly add new content focused on activities you and your children can do at home together.
