On Wednesday April 22 at 4pm EDT, I will be hosting a free virtual video panel discussion, “School in the Time of COVID-19” to give guidance and answer your questions about managing your children’s homeschooling experience.

Are your children dealing with a full schedule of schoolwork that is tough for them (and you) to keep track of?  Or do they have minimal work from school and large gaps in the day for them (and you) to figure out how to fill? Are you too busy/stressed to figure out what they are supposed to be doing?  We know it’s tough out there and we want to help.

I’m gathering a great group of education experts to offer tips and advice: teachers Jennifer Vermont-Davis (middle school) and Robert Taylor (high school); Tali Horowitz, the NYC Educational Director of Common Sense Media (which is leading the effort to curate and collect the best online learning resources); and developmental and behavioral pediatrician Dr. Karen Hopkins, who specializes in helping children learn.   We want to address your concerns and help you during this tough time for all.

This video discussion is hosted in association with Hunter College Continuing Education program, with whom I teach my in-person parenting seminars (which have been postponed until the fall).  If you are interested in joining our discussion on April 22, please contact me at csl@groundcontrolparenting.com to register.    Space will be limited.  Hope you will join us!!
